Raagi Rotti
Here is a simple healthy recipe what i prepared for my Vratha .Raagi is very good for our health.Raagi has a very good nutritive value. It should be taken during winters to keep the body warm and it also prevents the craking of soles. Its a good source of fibres and iron also.It helps to build up muscle protiens. So why not have it different forms. Now comming to the recipe.
Ingredients:-
-----------
Raagi powder - 2 cups
Samolina - 1/2 cup
Coconut grates- 1 cup
Cumin - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
water -to mix
Green chillies - 2 large
Method:-
-------
1.Take all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
2.Add little bit of cold water and keep mixing until it forms a dough like that of chapatti.Take care not to form a sticcky mass as raagi becomes very sticky easily by absorbing water .
3.Then add grated coconut grates, cumin to it with the finely chopped chilly powder and mix properly
4.Now make small balls out of it.
5.Grease the pan a bit and press the balls using your hands into a round rotti.
6.Cook up both the sides smearing ghee until the edges turn a bit crispy.
7.Serve hot with sugar and freshly prepared butter or with spicy chilly chutney.
Chilly chutney:-
------------
Ingredients:-
---------
Green chilly - 1 large
Dry red chillies- 3 large
Tamarind pulp - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 8 large
coconut grates - 3 tbsp
