Cream of broccoli

This recipe is my all time favorite. Its quite filling and has got the richness and creaminess of milk and the chewy broccholi in it.Its best to keep us warm in this winter.

Milk - 2 cups
Broccoli - 1 cup
Garlic powder -1tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Onion powder- 1 tsp
Pepper powder- 1 tsp
mayonnaise - 1 tsp[optional -for extra richness and a good flavour]
Corn starch - 1/2 tsp

1.Chop up all the broccoli
2.Take a pan add all the milk and when it becomes hot add salt, pepper and stir for 3 mins .
3.Then add onion and garlic powder,Simmer and cook for 2 mins.
4.Add all the broccoli ,mayonnaise and bring to a boil.
5.Serve hot with some country bread as sides

This looks absolutely yum!!!!! And I love brocolli. :) I make a similar soup with lov of other veggies and put a bit of cornflour paste to bring in the thickness. But I think here mayonise does the job.

The soup looks good but I always avoid having "Cream of Brocolli" soup when I go out, some inhibition towards brocolli I guess :)
